Holds a master’s degree in hospitality management from Ecole-Hôtelière de Lausanne, completed on October 17, 2022, a master’s degree in business administration from King Abdulaziz University in February 2014, and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the same university in May 1999. He started his career in the hospitality and hotel sector and is currently serving as the General Manager of Operations and Operations for the Fairmont, Raffles, Swissotel Makkah, and Swissotel Al-Muqam hotel group. Previously, he was the General Manager of the Royal Hotel at the Royal Court for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques from 2019 to 2021, where he was responsible for providing luxury and specialized services to hotel guests
Salem also served as CEO and lecturer at the College of Tourism at King Abdulaziz University from 2017 to 2019. He also acted as a consultant and the head of the travel committee at the Royal Hotel for the Royal Court from 2015 to 2017. He managed InterContinental Hotels (IHG) from 2013 to 2015, leading daily operations and contributing to the brand’s strategic development.
Additionally, Salem holds board memberships in several companies, including the Vision City Company, where he leads the Audit, Nominations, and Remunerations Committees, as well as in the Real Estate and Tourism Development Company. In addition to his executive role, Salem is also a member of the Shura Council
