Sami earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from King Saud University in 1990 and continued his education with various training courses. These included English language courses from the British Council and the United States, as well as military training, and courses in the fields of tourism and hotel investments. He also expanded his knowledge by attending international exhibitions and seminars focused on the hotel, restaurant, and tourism sectors
He began his professional career in 1983 as a member of the Board of Directors of the BAAN Holding Group, gradually advancing through leadership roles. He served as the Deputy CEO of BAAN Holding Group from 2006 to 2012, then became CEO until 2024, and is currently the Managing Director of the group. He has led many projects in the entertainment and hospitality industries and has been the General Manager of Half Moon Bay Resort, Sparky’s Land, Sparky’s Oceanica, and Digital Land since 2001
In addition to his executive role, he is actively involved in several committees and boards. He has chaired the executive committee of BAAN Holding Group since 2012 and has served as Vice President of the Tourism Committee in the Eastern Chamber of Commerce since 2000. Sami is also a member of several prestigious international organizations, including the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) in the U.S., the European Amusement Suppliers Association (EAASI), the American Hotel and Motel Association (AHMA), and the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA). He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of BAAN Holding Group, a publicly listed company
